On November 12, the Institute of Sustainable Processes at the University of Valladolid (ISP-UVa) welcomed high school students from IES Arca Real, IES Delicias, and IES Condesa Eylo Alfonso as part of Science Week 2025. The visit allowed the students to gain first-hand insight into the scientific work carried out at the Institute.
Throughout the day, ISP-UVa researchers delivered outreach talks, sharing their experience and explaining the importance of research in moving toward a more sustainable future. After the presentations, the students toured the Institute’s laboratories, taking part in practical demonstrations and experimental activities that enabled them to explore the ISP-UVa’s different lines of work and discover how science addresses today’s environmental challenges.
The visit fostered a close space for exchange between students and research staff, creating a participatory atmosphere filled with curiosity. For the Institute, it is a source of pride to help inspire scientific vocations and bring science closer to educational centers.
