The seminars are aimed to all ISP members

The Institute of Sustainable Processes has started its cycle of internal seminars in order to publicize the different research lines that are developed in the institute among its members. Erika Oliveira and Celia Pascual were in charge of making their presentations to the rest of the ISP members.

The exposition by Erika Oliveira “Application of Transient MA for RTO in a Real Propylene Propane Splitter”, was related to fourth industrial revolutión, the data management and process improvement. The aim of her work is to develop new MA methodologies to be able to obtain the real optimum of processes with structurally incorrect models, and apply them to industrial-scale processes.

Celia Pascual presented her research entited “Innovative biogas siloxanes removal processes”. Biogas contains trace levels of volatile methyl siloxanes (VMS) responsible of damage during the storage and combustion of biogas. The aim of this research is the design, optimization and construction of a novel biogas upgrading biotechnology targeting the removal of VMS based on a high efficient microbial community and implementing strategies for improved mass transfer.
