On May 30, María del Rosario Rodero and Roxana Ángeles, postdoctoral researchers from the “Resource Utilization” research area of the Institute of Sustainable Processes, gave two courses at the University of Tirana (Albania).

María del Rosario Rodero delivered the course entitled “Biogas and biomethane production” to the students of the Master of Science in Industrial and Environmental Chemistry. Roxana Ángeles gave the course titled “Microalgal Technology” to the students of Master of Science in Chemical Processes Engineering. Both masters belong to study programs of second cycle of the University of Tirana.

Microalgal technologies present a high potential for the simultaneous treatment of wastewaters and the purification of biogas to biomethane as a renewable energy source. The ISP develops and optimizes microalgal-based technologies for these and other aplications: http://www.isp.uva.es/publicaciones/
