The Institute of Sustainable Processes of the University of Valladolid presents its 2020-2023 Strategic Plan.

The Institute of Sustainable Processes (ISP) of the University of Valladolid continues its work on improving its internal processes and advancing towards excellence in its research and, in this context, it has worked in recent months on the development of a Plan Strategic for the period 2020-2023.

With the financial support of the Escalera de Excelencia program of the Junta de Castilla y León co-funded with ERDF funds, and following the recommendations of an international panel of experts, the ISP, with the active participation of all its members, has defined five main axis of action for the coming years, in order to be able to compete and collaborate with similar centers at national and European level, in addition to providing better services and transferring knowledge and technology to companies, public administrations and society.

These five strategic lines of action are:

  • Consolidate the research areas of excellence of the ISP
  • Strengthen the transfer of knowledge and technology
  • Improve internal organization and processes
  • Talent attraction and retention
  • Visibility and internationalization

All this with the Vision that in 2023 the Institute of Sustainable Processes will be considered a national and international reference center for R & D & I for the development of an environmentally sustainable economy and society, through the improvement and optimization of processes, the most efficient use of natural resources and the use and reuse of by-products and waste, with a multisectoral nature.

The Strategic Plan has been defined based on an internal analysis of the situation of the ISP, both with documentary analysis and through in-depth interviews with ISP personnel and their client companies, an online questionnaire and various meetings. An external benchmarking analysis of centers with similar characteristics at the international level has also been carried out to identify good practices and lessons learned, as well as the reference frameworks (programs, plans and policies) that can support the development of research lines have been analyzed. of the ISP as well as contribute to its excellence. All this with the collaboration of the specialized consulting company INFYDE S.L.
