The ranking includes Spanish female researchers, regardless of their affiliation, and foreign female researchers affiliated with Spanish institutions who have a strong scientific track record

Five female researchers from the Institute of Sustainable Processes (ISP) at the University of Valladolid (UVa) have been recognised in the ranking of female researchers compiled by the CSIC.
This ranking, published in April 2026 and developed by the Cybermetrics Lab—a laboratory specialising in the analysis of scientific metrics at the CSIC’s Institute of Public Policy and Public Goods (IPP)—brings together thousands of profiles of female researchers active in various fields of knowledge. The ranking is ordered according to bibliometric indicators (h-index and citation volume), obtained from publicly accessible and free platforms such as Google Scholar and Openalex, taking into account the best available value from both sources for each profile. All the female scientists included in the ranking have an h-index of 20 or higher and hold an ORCID identifier.
The researchers from the Institute of Sustainable Processes featured in this edition of the ranking are:
- María Molinos Senante | PROCESSES – Systems engineering and industrial process evaluation
- Cristina González Fernández | ENVIROENG – Engineering for environmental sustainability
- Raquel Lebrero | ENVIROENG – Engineering for environmental sustainability
- Mónica Coca Sanz | ENVIROENG – Engineering for environmental sustainability
- Laura Palacio Martínez | MATERIALS – Membranes and advanced materials
The inclusion of these professionals in the ranking reflects the ISP’s commitment to scientific excellence and highlights the contribution made by its female researchers to advancing knowledge and innovation in the field of sustainable production systems and environmental protection.
